Hail be to Joel & the Lakewood

Well, the long awaited newly constructed Lakewood Church in Houston opens it's doors today and will likely draw a bigger crowd to hear Joel Osteen than the Grateful Dead at Woodstock. (Although these folks will be a bit more dressed.) Like everything in Texas, Churches there are Big & Faith there is Big! Built on the former site of the Compaq center (more people in houston worship than use computers) this might well become the biggest tourist attraction in Houston since the Astrodome! Joel Osteen has already outed Billy Joel as the king of "keeping the faith". So if you're one of the many from Houstonians who put their faith in god and joel, be sure to swing by the Lakewood for a Texas size portion of spirituality.
